Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing

The 300SL was introduced at the 1954 New York Auto Show. The idea of Max Hoffman, the American Mercedes importer, the 300SL was at that time the fastest production car and best known for its distinctive gull wing doors necessary due to the high sills of the structurally rigid tubular chassis. To ease entry and exit to the cockpit, the tilt away two spoke ivory steering wheel was designed. Our steering wheel is an exact copy of the original including the hub with all small parts to keep the steering wheel foldable. The large chrome rimmed horn button looks wonderful in combination with the artwork of Albertus Holsheimer. Limited to only 250 pieces this is a musthave for any serious 300SL collector.
